Between Brazil and Portugal
Since 2024, Igor Lazier has also accompanied fado singer Ananda Botelho Mendes, known as Carioca do Fado, performing throughout Brazil in duo, trio, and other configurations.
Alongside J.J. Simões and on the album Virtuoso Piston, the 7-string guitar reclaims its historic role within the roda de choro: accompanying, weaving counterpoint, and shaping the harmony.
