Júlia Bomfim & Igor Lazier

Julia Bomfim and Igor Lazier have recorded a 7-string guitar and violin duo album as a tribute to composer Ernesto Nazareth, featuring choros, maxixes, and Brazilian tangos such as “Floraux”, “Atlântico”, and “Odeon”, celebrating the foundations of Brazilian urban instrumental music.

Recording is complete, and the album is now in its final stage, with a release scheduled for late 2026 or early 2027.

Lazier / Venturini / Pereira

The trio was born during Rio de Janeiro’s winter nights in 2026. The three musicians met in the city’s rodas de choro, and the partnership took shape in March 2026 through a short residency and a series of concerts in Lisbon.

Passionate about sung choro and samba-canção, the three musicians combine original compositions with traditional repertoire. Augusto Pereira and Igor Lazier accompany Laura Venturini on two guitars, exploring complementary bass lines and exchanges between the lower and upper registers.

In October, they plan to record an album of choros and songs composed by women, with a future European tour in mind.
